CONTENT STRATEGY & INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

Under UCLA Extension, I enhanced Bala Bangles' digital platform by applying content strategy and information architect techniques to improve the navigation and readability of their product listing, product guide, and "Balacize" pages. With the intention to streamline the discovery process for customers, my objective was to ensure a seamless search for products and workouts aligned with customers' skills and fitness goals.

How can we ensure a seamless product search and discovery process, allowing users to effortlessly find the equipment that matches their lifestyle and preferences?

KICKOFF

Initial key questions to understand Bala Bangles' customer demographic and opportunities for improvement:

  1. Who is our user?

    What are their backgrounds, behaviors, intents, and motivations?

  2. What are our users' pain points and goals?

    What are their needs, values, and frustrations?

  3. What are our objectives?

    What challenges will we focus on and address to improve our customers' online experience?

To attain a visual understanding of a customer's experience, I created a customer journey map, highlighting crucial stages and touch-points. Identifying the pivotal "Decision" stage as a concern, I pinpointed enhancing personalization for tailored content as a prime opportunity for improvement.

    Optimize the page's available real-estate and purposefully convey the message of texts

  2. Boost Lead Generation

    Personalize content marketing by including a quiz and virtual assistant feature to assist customers with finding workouts best suited for their skills and fitness goals.

  3. Clarify Formatting Conventions

    Simplify heading and description formats to reduce confusion, improve readability, and decrease customer service inquiries.
